Astro welding helmet with true-colour auto-darkening filter, allowing the welding arc to be observed in true colours. Certified welding filter in the highest optical class 1/1/1/1. The filter provides a large field of view of 100x68 mm and UV/IR protection. The filter is protected from splinters by a pane of durable polycarbonate. Four arc sensors and precision electronics detect an electric arc from a TIG as low as 5A. The filter is powered by a solar cell and an LIR2450 battery that can be recharged via the built-in USB-C port.
The visor has an adjustable darkness level, adjustable sensitivity to the intensity of the light source, as well as adjustable time for maintaining the dark state after welding. A button on the outer shell disables the dimming function. The helmet can then be used as a means of personal protection against, for example, sparks from cutting or grinding metal. The four-point harness, thrusters, size adjustment system and working angles allow the helmet's position to be adapted to individual requirements and working comfort.
The filters have a TEST button to check the operation of the auto-darkening function. A routine of checking the filter every time will help protect the operator's eyes and health.
